The thirteen 12ml pots deliberately span the whole working range — Base coats, a Layer, a Contrast, a Shade and a Technical — rather than thirteen variations on the same idea, so a painter finishes a model rather than just basecoating one. The three tools cover the jobs that come before paint touches plastic: clipping from the sprue, scraping mould lines, and laying down that first coat.
