The Army Painter: Plastic Frame Cutter
Product Note: This is a precision sprue cutter (also called plastic clippers or nippers) for removing plastic miniature parts cleanly from their frames.
The first tool any model kit needs. Twisting parts off a sprue or forcing them with a knife tears plastic and leaves gouges to fill later; a proper frame cutter takes them off cleanly in one squeeze, with a small enough nub left behind that a quick pass with a hobby knife finishes the job.
Product Highlights:
-
Sharp, Thin Blades: Hard-wearing stainless steel cutting edges sized for small, delicate components.
-
Flat-Side Cut: Place the flat side of the jaws against the part for the cleanest cut and the smallest leftover nub.
-
Anti-Slip Grip: An ergonomic, cushioned handle that stays comfortable through a full kit build.
-
Intended Use: Plastic miniatures, model kits, scale models, and any craft that involves cutting small plastic parts. Not intended for metal or wire.
Important Safety Information:
Warning: Sharp product. May cause injury. Not suitable for children under 14 years of age. Use under supervision. Wearing safety glasses when clipping plastic is recommended.
