Build the works Honda that took outright victory at the 1981 Suzuka 8 Hours.
The Tamiya 1/12 Honda RS1000 captures Honda's factory endurance racer at a scale where the mechanical detail genuinely reads. Developed from the CB900F and bored out to 999cc, the RS1000 ran an air-cooled DOHC sixteen-valve four making around 150 horsepower, and it carried Baldwin and Aldana to the win at Suzuka in 1981. The kit reproduces the engine with its brake and ignition lines in place, uses metal coil springs at the rear, and screws the swing arm and front fork together rather than relying on push fits — a build that rewards patience with a properly engineered result.
