Dreadful Visage sits in the thin, wash-like category of Contrast paints — behaving more like a tinted glaze than a traditional Contrast colour, making it ideal for subtle, ghostly effects on daemonic skin, ethereal miniatures, and undead flesh.

Citadel Colour Contrast Paint — Thin Formula: A wash-like consistency that shades recesses and tints raised surfaces subtly, rather than producing the pronounced highlights of standard Contrast paints. Best used over light undercoats such as Grey Seer or White Scar.
