The end of sealed Pokémon products
You may have noticed a big change in our store. As of November 1st, 2025, we are no longer selling any sealed Pokémon products.
This was a hard decision for us to come to, but we feel it is what's in the best interest for us, the collector community, and even Pokémon Company International. Pokémon products have never been more popular, but it's for all the wrong reasons. Sealed product has become a commodity that is traded like crypto with all the same problems that come with that community.
The last update from TCPi was posted here and frankly it was underwhelming to us. It speaks about getting more product printed for fans, but the true primary goal is to print more product to sell to almost meet demand. With more retailers onboarding like Lowes to sell Pokémon, more scalpers than ever, and distributors not being able to allocate in any real quantity—we're frustrated, just like many of you.
We believe in the real collector community and see how many have put their passion on hold. We'll be right here with you, waiting for things to get better.
So that's why we came to this decision. We're shifting our focus entirely to Pokémon singles, which we believe remains the best (and cheapest) way for collectors to get the cards they want. This decision isn't an easy one, and we're aware it will likely reduce our profits in the short term as we move away from guaranteed sellers. However, we're okay with that, as we feel this is the right move for our business and the community we serve.
What About Other TCGs?
To be clear, this change only affects Pokémon. Our other TCGs will remain unaffected. We are, however, closely monitoring the One Piece TCG, as it is unfortunately showing some of the same speculative problems. Our commitment is to the player, not the speculator, and we will always make decisions that best serve that community.
Will we ever sell sealed again?
Maybe. If the secondary market collapses again, TCPi get's their act together and manages to actually provide enough product, distributors finally get enough product to allocate, or scalpers move on to something else, then we may start stocking sealed product again.
What's Next For Us?
While this marks a shift in our Pokémon strategy, our commitment to the gaming community remains strong. We're excited to dedicate all our resources to building the best Pokémon singles inventory possible, helping you find that last card you need for your collection.
For those who love the thrill of opening packs and playing, we want to reassure you that our store remains a home for players. We will continue to support a wide variety of TCGs, tabletop wargames, and TTRPGs, all focused on getting you the products you need to play. Our commitment is to the player, and we look forward to seeing you in the store.
